Emptyflower.com was a highly detailed and extensive graphical look at the multi-faceted fighting martial art of Xingyiquan. The site was created by David deVere, a Hollywood-based designer by trade, but also a student of Xingyi. Unfortunately, the site went dark in the middle of 2008. We do not know the reason but the site was very well done and very informative. We are reproducing some of the information at Emptyflower.com as a tribute to David and also as a general service to the Xingyi community. The website disappeared some time in 2009. The forum for Emptyflower.com changed to emptyflower.net and also to rumsoakedfist.com The Ottawa Martial Arts Associations has combed its archives and try to recreate the experience of the original Emptyflower.com. Here is the last splash page before the site went dark:

This section contains Quicktime videos, form walk throughs, articles and personal galleries. Much of this information is now lost.
Drilling

section contains the original Emptyflower.com forum, a teachers directory, various martial links pages, site credits, personal wallpapers as well his library focusing on Internal Chinese martial arts.
Pounding
A overview and translation of some of Xingyi writings from the old masters.
Crossing
David created some excellent pictures showing the power and grace of various Xingyi masters.
